When I sat down to do my ATL this week (Tuesday) I was hoping most for some really focused quiet time to debrief with God (which would have meant more of me talking to God rather than listening for Him, which wasn’t the point but I had lots to say ). As I walked over to find a spot a page fell out of the very old bible I was using that I had been given the day prior from a friend who had worked to clean up a basement for a pastor. I picked up the page and it was out of the book of Galatians , that was funny to me because at an earlier time in my life I really felt as though the book of Galatians offered little value to me, so I chuckled to myself when I noticed the page was from just that book. As I sat down and opened my bible it opened right to the book of Galatians (again, thought it was funny), as I looked on the page I noticed that there was scripture underlined in red several times, My eyes immediately went right to it. I had never in all my times of study read or noticed the scripture before. It was Galatians 2:20, for I am crucified with Christ……this was also something curious to me as that is the scripture that Crucified ministries (where we are staying ) bases their ministry on. I felt that it was coming clear that Galatians as a book in the Bible was something I needed to take note of in my life. I sat there reflecting on that and the scriptures before me and I stretched my neck and back and turned around and around as I listened for more of Gods message (my initial thoughts or all that I thought I wanted to say to him had gone away). I saw a reflection or something move in the door to my left so I glanced back and didn’t see anything except the word Galatians that had been painted on the wall outside the doors. It was clear to me know that God wasn’t messing around. He wanted me to see, hear, and know Galatians. While I’m not certain yet how he will use it in my life, I am certain  I need to spend time and reflection in that book moving forward, and I plan to!!!
