In devotion time this morning we talked about God's will verses our own. We read in Luke 22 when Jesus goes into the Garden of Gethsemene to pray. Verse 42 says, "Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done." Jesus was willing to surrender his own wants for what the Father wanted. We also read Philippians 2:7-8. Verse 8 says, talking about Jesus, "And being found in appearance as a man he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death–even death on a cross!" It's so cool how God does big things after we surrender to Him and follow His will for our lives.

After talking about God's will verses our own we did a little activity. On sheets of paper people wrote at the top, "Not My Will but Yours" and then split it into 3 columns. The first was what they want, the second what God wants, and the third what happened that day. It was so neat to see how God was able to help them submit to His will. And after that, the things that happened were so neat!

So cool how God was able to show them things about themselves they never knew!

Even the youngest of the group was able to participate!
