I saw God through the many things I experienced throughout this mission trip. One thing that really stood out was how we suddenly had the strength and energy to do work when it was for a good cause. God gave us this amazing strength to work through us, to inspire us. As soon as I was given a shovel to dig holes for the plants at the farm, adrenaline just rushed through me, and that adrenaline was God working through me. I dug and dug so much, and I was never tired; I never quit. This was not just for me, but also for my mission team. They would have to wake up so early and drive off to our next mission when they were all tired, but as soon as they got to work, all that tiredness turned into energy. Another way I saw God was how the people of Johnstown were so generous and optimistic, despite the fact some of them didn’t have much. Talking to the people of Johnstown and hearing such amazing stories and backgrounds made me realize that hope still is present even in difficult circumstances.
