It is 3 PM and the team should be arriving any minute. I have been praying for each of the 12 team members by name for a couple of weeks and now it is finally time to meet in person!
While I was waiting, I was praying. "In my weakness, Lord, you are strong. Help me to step back and trust you to move and be present in my team and with our words and actions as we serve. Fill us, Holy Spirit, work through our feeble efforts. May we constantly be conscious of your strength, wisdom and presence! To you be all Glory, Honor, and Praise. AMEN, may it be so."
Here we are! 8 from Maryland, 2 from South Carolina, 2 from New York and 1 from Indiana. All brought together by God.
It was amazing how God provided! 13 people with complementary talents– a worship song leader, a young preacher, someone who loves the kitchen and helped everyone with meals, someone who loves kids, quiet men of faith and so much more. Each person filling a need–we became a community serving God as a whole.
